重组

John Wood Community College uses 重组, an external platform for group communication.  重组 facilitates emergency notifications and community outreach by enabling group administrators to send a single message to all members of a group through any or all of the following methods:

  • 重新组合网站
  • 电子邮件
  • Short Message Service (SMS/text messages)
  • 语音合成
  • 脸谱网
  • 推特

 

JWCC警报 Group

We have created a special group called JWCC警报.  This group will only be used for emergency notifications.  If you are an active employee or a currently enrolled student, your contact information from Banner will be imported automatically into this group.

If you are an employee and were classified as inactive after the start of the current academic term, you will be a member of the JWCC警报 group until 人力资源 terminates your account in the system.

类似的, if you were a student at the start of the current term and have since either completed all of your courses or have withdrawn, you will remain in the JWCC警报 group until 7 days after course scheduled completion or have withdrawn from the class.

If you have not logged into 重组 before, or if you have forgotten your password, Request a 密码. When you are prompted for an email address, 请 enter your JWCC email address if you have one.  You will then receive an email with a link that can be used to set your password.

退出

You may opt out entirely of any 重组 group except JWCC警报.  If you are in the JWCC警报 group, you may choose to stop receiving communication via all methods 除了电子邮件.

请注意:  If a friend or relative used your telephone number or email address when enrolling as a student or when completing paperwork for 人力资源 as an employee, they will need to talk to 学生服务 or 人力资源 to get it changed.

Most members will be directed to the Settings page automatically after logging in.  Group administrators have a different home page and will need to click on the 首选项 link in the upper right corner of that page to access Settings.

To view or change notification settings, click on the Group Notifications 选项卡.

Updating Information

Anyone whose information was not imported into 重组 from Banner should be able to update his or her own contact information by clicking on the 邮箱|电话 选项卡 on the Settings page (see image above).

重组 users whose contact information is imported from Banner, 然而, will find that changes that they make manually to their own contact information will be overwritten by the information in Banner.  因此, active employees and currently enrolled students should check their contact information in 太阳能 and then contact the appropriate department if their contact information needs to be updated.

  • Active employees should contact 人力资源.
  • Students who are currently enrolled in courses for credit should contact Enrollment Services.
  • Students who are currently enrolled only in workforce-related training that is not for credit, such as OSHA training or JWCC’s Truck Driver Training program, should contact the 劳动力 Development Center.
  • Students who are currently enrolled only in Community Based Outreach courses should contact the Community Based Outreach Office.
